This is my second year using Taxbrain and I must say that I am, again, very impressed.

The user interface is very easy to navigate. You might think that this doesn't mean much coming from a "techie" but I assisted a couple of people with their taxes by going through taxbrain and they all felt the same relief once they started navigating through the Taxbrain website.

It is particularly easy to adjust values and correct mistakes. I remember the dreaded hours I spent trying to correct values on TurboTax after going through their error check...what a nightmare?

My Fed and State taxes were both accepted within 24 hrs and I have already received a confirmation that my refund will be posted to my account on 1/26, eight days exactly after filing with Taxbrain.

I will definitely use Taxbrain again next year and will do my best to recommend them to everyone!

Freaking awesome. Just so simple to use. I've tried to do my taxes online before and I gave up cause why?...too taxing. taxbrain did something no one else thought of. they made it simple. an easy to understand user-interface with enough information to keep you interested but not too much if you don't need it. i don't have an extremely complicated return but it's not easy either. but this year was the simplest ever. i just finished and had to tell someone about it.

It's an online application so no downloading balky software that exposes you to viruses. To start they ask you a series of questions to identify how sophisticated a return you need. from there it's just plugging in numbers.

The best thing I can write is everything went smoothly. I get mega stressed about taxes and always want to get it over as painlessly as possible. Everything seemed to go just fine. It was easy to calculate deductions, etc... and by the end of it, I was happy to be finished and on to more enjoyable things. I thought the interface was easy and the instructions comprehensive.

The quickest I've ever done my taxes. TaxBrain made it very simple to complete everything. I was through in less than an hour. When I needed a little help the live chat button quickly connected me to someone who answered my question. Everything was e-filed automatically and I was done. Not to mention TaxBrain is sooo cheap. I'm never going back to long lines and big fees of H&R block.

Being a tax challenged individual I found Taxbrain remarkably refreshing. The interface is user-friendly and corrects your mistakes as you go along which is a godsend. This is my first year doing any kind of e-filing and having researched the options Taxbrain was the standout. I actually enjoyed the process. I'm not kidding! Not having to download or purchase any software was a major selling point as was the nearly instant tax refund option. Their live-chat support is something most businesses ought to look to for an example of outstanding (not to mention smart) customer service. Overall a great alternative to the typical paper nightmare. Highly recommended and extremely functional.

The software is adequate, but when there are problems the customer service is very poor. This company does not stand behind either its product or its service.

It seems weird that I actually don't mind doing my taxes, but with TaxBrain, I don't mind at all. I used TaxBrain last year with great results. Others here have commented about the system picking up errors, which is great and which made it really easy for me to file, as I know I would have made mistakes on my own (and who wants to pay a CPA!!) and TaxBrain caught them before I finished filing. I had a great experience with their online chat service. It's so much better than having to wait on the phone and listen to bad music while you await a customer service rep. With TaxBrain, my questions were answered very fast and I did not have to spend all day trying to understand IRS forms. I am definately using TaxBrain again this year.

I used TaxBrain last year, and tried to use it this year. I completed the questionnaire and almost all my information before discovering that in their partnership return form (K-1) I can't enter the actual values from my K-1. They have a pull-down menu with only (A) listed, but my K-1 form has (B) and (C). They have an online chat help. The guy tells me that they have "very limited K-1 support" this year, because the IRS switched the form around. He told me to consult with a tax preparer before filing. If I wanted to do that, why would I use TaxBrain?!

Why couldn't they have said this somewhere helpful, like at the top of the form, or in the help file? It's really annoying when you go through the entire process first before they bail on you. At least they didn't charge me first. Anyway, I like the TaxBrain interface, but they really don't provide a complete set of forms. Caveat emptor.

We've all heard of the other tax help packages with their cumbersome software that takes ten years to load and that slows down your computer and isn't all that helpful, anyway. So when my co-worker told me about TaxBrain I was like, yeah sure. He insisted, and even gave me a link to their homepage (taxbrain.com), and I browsed around and saw, oh, it's web-based. Don't have to download anything. So I got myself signed up and answered a pretty simple questionnaire and then suddenly I was looking at all the schedules and forms that I would have otherwise spent an hour collecting at the post office. The e-file thing through the site is also pretty easy, and now that it's over with light-speed quickness I'm looking at a refund coming at me much, much faster than I've ever experienced before. Can't complain about a thing.

TaxBrain is a website that provides tax prep and e-filing services. I've used it for two years now, after having used TurboTax for three years and TaxCut for one year. Of the three, TaxBrain was hands down the most straight forward and simple to use. Not only was there no boxed software to buy and no rebate to mail in, but nothing to download or install on my computer, along with the problems sometimes caused by the process. During the actual tax prep, I found TaxBrain extremely easy. I made a few mistakes, but they were quickly caught by the software, and it wasn't disruptive or time consuming to fix them. One of the best features of the site, and what really sets it apart, is its customer service. When questions came up about what I could legally deduct, I sent off an email to their customer support, and received help within minutes. Regarding price, I would say that TaxBrain is very competitive with the other leading brands. The process of preparing taxes with their software is free, but you do pay to file online.

I’ve used the service for the past 2 years and both the quality of service as well as the quality of product just keep getting better. Their online chat customer service has always been quick, concise, and courteous. Their fees are more than reasonable and their methods are always accurate. Just this year I had to make some changes post filing online and the service picked up on that and upon next review of my filed tax forms it had produced a 1040X for me to simply print, sign, and mail. A+ in my book.
