I ordered the Pentax Optio 450 digital camera online. After 3 days I decided to call customer service to check the status of the order. I was told the order was received but not placed. The rep tried to sell me every add on (ext. warrantee, battery, memory, case etc...). I think this is how they make their money since the camera was the best price online. After the phone call I received my camera three days later with no complaints. My recommendation is to follow up after you place the order, whether it is done via the phone or online.

Good experience other than they were somewhat pushy in trying to get me to buy "needed" accessories and warranties. In the end I did end up buying an UV lens and a 2 year warranty and they threw in a camera case and 2 day air shipping.
I needed a camera for vacation and stressed this fact to the salesman. He assured me it would arrive in time and as promised it did. Thank you for the prompt service.
Webiste is easy to use and the ordering process took only a few minutes. If I can place an order over my lunchtime at work and get it in a few days why would I want to shop somewhere else and sit on the phone for what feels like an hour? I ordered a Nikon 5700 and asked them if they had a Nikon case in stock. I was told that they did and that it was 24.95.I questioned them again to make sure that it was the Nikon case and was reassured that it was. When the order came there was some generic case in the box and the charge was 49.95. I called them and was told that if I returned the case there would be a restocking fee and I would have to pay the shipping. I am now taking it up with my credit card company and sending a letter to the Attorney General of the State of New York. This company should be out of business!

The salesman are unbelievable considerate being that you never meet them face to face but they really try to make you happy any way they can. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!!!! Upon placing our order for a sony pdr150 we requested all sony products. When we received our order the only thing sony was the camera and some tapes that didn't fit our camera. We called to get a rma number and it took over a week to get the number and when they gave us the number because it was their mistake they said no restocking fee would be taken out of the credit. But that was a big lie. We sent the products back with a delivery conformation to make sure it got back to them, we then found out they were going to charge the restocking fee. After repeated calls to our bank to see if the credit had been applied we got a little worried when it still wasn't done after 10 days. We kept calling ephoto and we got hung up on several times. Finally after leaving a message about contacting an attorney we received our credit less the restocking fee which was not supposed to be deducted.
Very rude customer service!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!!!
Aside from the great price I was given for a Canon A70, after reading the reviews I was really convinced me to order a digital camera here. The salesman I spoke to was not pushy and made the process take only a few short minutes. I An overall very good experience and the price too good to pass on.
After finding what I needed online, I placed an order directly with their sales rep Pete notifying him that this was a gift and that I needed it within four days. I paid for 3-day shipping and he assured me that the product would be shipped the same day of placing the order. After a couple of days, I did not receive a tracking number so I contacted their service dept. It turns out that they did not ship the item yet, they did not even have the product in stock, and they did not even bother to contact me to let me know. Now I only had one night to receive the product and it is now costing me extra for shipping. I cancelled the order and I am going to order from a different vendor all together. I will never do business with these jokers again.

I would not recommend if you need in a hurry. I placed an order on 12-19 and even paid for 2nd day delivery to make sure it would get here by Christmas, (which they said they guaranteed delivery by Christmas if order was placed before the 23rd) and as you probably have guessed, it did not show. I called on the 24th and they said it had just been processed that day! When I ordered the product, the computer showed an "in-stock" status, but by the time it went through their system, it had changed to "out of stock". So here I am expecting it to show up and Christmas will just be wonderful but no, now I have no gift to give. Not only that but when I called, I found out they had changed the shipping to ground (5 days) without bothering to ask if I still needed it ASAP.
I will definately pay a little more and order through a more dependable internet company next time.
P.S. Check out their policy page before ordering. They are not responsible for anything even if it's wrong plus you have to pay any additional shipping charges.

After 2 other on-line companies didn't deliver with my camera order, I went to e-photo and faxed in an order. They were real slow too until I called and asked what the problem was. I got immediate service and prompt delivery. I didn't ask what the delay was just because I was thrilled that they said they would send it out that day, and they did. I would order from them again, the Internet might be OK to use but I will only order by phone to expedite things.

If you buy from these guys, be prepared to buy something else or you'll spend at least 30 minutes telling them you don't want anything else -- just the camera. The only way I could get rid of them was to tell them to cancel the order. To their credit, they did (after calling me back when I hung up) and then called me back again asking why I cancelled the order (same CS representative). I hung up again and they called me back but I let the answering machine pick it up.
Positive: I did get an order cancellation email and they weren't abusive just EXTREMELY obstinate.
Never got my order after one month. Had to cancel, then they didn't credit my card back. Now I have to dispute bill with credit company. Total nightmare. Avoid these guys like the plague!

Bought my GL2 and a few accessories 12/10/03 and received 12/12/03. Overall I'd give ePhotoClub a B+, they had the best price for the camera and even bonus discounts for the accessories I wanted purchase. Well packaged for shipment definite A+ there. Also they were prompt in emailing me a tracking # with UPS.
However their "add-on" tactics were a bit aggressive and pressured, but thats the reality of sales - their livelyhood depends on commission.
I'd also recommend ordering by phone. I ordered by phone because all the bad reviews I read about their on-line service and felt more secure about my first time purchase via phone. I spoke with James who's responsible for processing my order so quickly. I'll probably buy from ePhotoClub again.

I ordered the the Sony dsc-v1 online today I knew the price was to good to be true. Camera cost was $534.00 which included everything battery, charger etc. I was contacted about my order today and the salesman claims it does not come with a battery or charger even though the website says it does and of course wants to charge more for these items. Same old song and dance they are not selling the product as advertised needless to say I cancelled my order and wouldn't bother with ephotoclub.com again. Don't waste your time........

While I will agree they do try to add on, they were not overly aggressive about it. I did however have to call to get the order processed and then call again to check on shipping status. I was sent a confirmation email after it was shipped complete with UPS tracking number.
I purchased the Fuji s5000 from them. The price was reasonable, good even. When I called to process was when they tried to add things on. My husband and I are proponents of extended warranties, so we added that on, but declined everything else. The guy did quote me 79.99 for 3 years extended, he upgraded shipping, and gave us a lens cleaning kit. All of which he actually did.
The camera arrived last week. It is a US model, observable from the box. And we already registered it with Fuji. Overall, we are very pleased with the company.
I might buy from them again, but I cannot guarantee it. Basically, just hold tight and resist the pressure to add on!

I always surf online looking for good deals and ways to save money. I found EPhotoClub.com by accident but will bookmark this page and recommend it. They advertise low prices and seem to always have items in stock. This is one place I know I do not have to worry about because I am always saving.
I ordered my camera and then I got a phone call two days later by a salesperson. He tried to sell me accessories and warrantees. After I refused, he falsely told me that it is shipped by USPS and that it will take 7-14 days to receive my order, but if I ordered a 3 year warrantee for $79, it would be shipped by 3 day delivery for free.
I checked their website and they state they exclusively use FedEx and according to the FedEx site it takes 4 days to ship it from NY to CA. I think they are lying to get a pressured sale. Their site does not give tracking numbers so it may have been shipped already. I was a bit annoyed that the order wasn't shipped till a salesman called and tried to pressure sell me more stuff. The price however, was one of the lowest.
I would give a generally unfavorable rating, and I haven't even gotten my order yet. It took a full week from the time of my order until it shipped, and I was unable to get any information about the order until then. My email inquiry never got a response. At least no one pressured me to buy more gizmos to go with it (a favorite tactic of many online vendors). We'll see how things eventually work out.

I ordered a Canon ZR65 mini digital camcorder on-line on 11/28/03 (Friday). No confirming email received. Called them Sunday to verify order, and they wanted more credit card info (security code and 800# on back). They said order would be shipped Tuesday. The following Sunday (9 days after ordering) called again to learn product had not yet shipped but "will ship Tuesday". Cancelled order.
I was never advised of any delay. My emails were not answered. "Customer Service" extension answered (during normal published business hours) with voice mail saying they were closed. Only "Sales" extension answered (imagine that!).
I am waiting to see if credit card was charged.
Not recommended.

So far so good. Purchased a Minolta Dimage A1. Brushed off by 3 or 4 other discount sellers. These folks had the product, US warranty, instock, advertised price, advertised free shipping. Great! Spoke with Pete and he was courteous and did not rush the sale, like the other did. (2 weeks - click: Do you want accessories?, no?, click: that price was for an import, US is $300 higher - click)
Pete offered me accessories, in fact the battery offered was at a great price, which is unusual from the hundreds of reviews I have read on the discount dealers, about 40% off market price - not the marked up price. At any rate, I didn't go for the battery and the sale went through. I'll see if it shows up in a few days, but I have no reason to believe it won't.
Overall I am very pleased. I got what I wanted, for a great price, and little hassle from this dealer. I never did receive a tracking number, even when calling, but other than that, no problems.

I ordered a dsc-p10 and 2 lexar PRO media sticks. Site showed it was in stock. I called to confirm both were in stock. I ordered 3 day delivery. Ephoto waited 6 days before shipping, then shipped the 2x128 sticks instead of the pro. They didn't have any pro sticks (lexar or Sony) to send, even though the site showed in stock. The staff is incompetent. I was put on hold for well over 35 minutes. It took 45 days to get an RMA # from EPhotoClub.com. And I still haven't received my promised refund. This was the worst on-line purchase experience I've ever had. Will never do business with them again.

I placed my order for a Canon Optura 20 on December 30, and I received it two weeks later with no problems. However, they didn't ship until a week after I placed my order, and UPS took forever, which wasn't there fault.
They didn't try to hassle me to sell me more things, either by e-mail or phone.
I didn't have a bad shopping experience with them, though I have to agree that the Customer Service aspect could be improved. If you call them, be sure you press the button to place a new order instead of the button for Customer Service, or else you will be on hold for a long, long time.

Phoned them for a large order, and was asked for my billing address and credit card details before I even had time to tell them what I wanted. As soon as you refuse to buy an overpriced accessory or warranty you get put on hold. After phoning twice when being put on hold I was told to fax my credit card front and back before they will consider my order. I strongly recommend avoiding doing business with these people.
I collect anything camera related since my retirement as a professional photographer last year, a job I held for over 25 years. Having it as a life long hobby leads me to praise EPhotClub for providing the low prices they do for such wonderful items and making an collector like me so happy.

The rudest customer service I've ever encountered--I was going to buy an expensive camera from this site, but called a few times with questions. Each time, the person I spoke with was incredibly rude and impatient. I felt like I couldn't ask my questions. I decided not to order from them, to pay a little more from a site where I felt I could call and ask questions. I've had enough experiences ordering on line to know how important it is to be able to talk to people who will help you resolve an order problem--I've had plenty of things lost, late, etc. and I know it's important to be able to call a decent human with a problem. Don't order from this site, their prices aren't that great anyway. And I don't trust these other reviews--anyone can write them, including all the employees at ephotoclub, and they can submit dozens of reviews.

This merchant is the most difficult and untrustworthy I have ever dealt with. Made a strong telephone sales pitch to sell me items I did not order via web site. The items arrived without an invoice. Had to get an e-mail to determine price breakdown. Discovered an overcharge of $40 on one item. Several phone calls and e-mails failed to result in a refund of the overcharge, even though they admitted it was a indeed an overcharge. Returned 2 of the items (one was the overcharged item) within their short 14 day return policy. Three weeks later, still no refund or credit for items returned even though their return policy states "up to 21 days to process refund." e-mails to customer service go unanswered. Will likely have to take legal action to get credit for returned items.

I ordered a product from this store 2 weeks ago. Currently, I have not got my product yet and my credit card was charged already. Customer service is totally awful. For example: I have to wait at least 5 minutes to connect with them, not any given the tracking number, disconnect my call when they can not answer my question. Overall it was a pretty good experience. I purchased the Garmin Streetpilot 2610 on 12/11/03, and the product arrived on 12/15/03. The only recommendation to ePhotoClub is that they should sent an email confirmation after shipping out. That would reduced a lot of anxieties. Customer service was pretty curteous.
Service met all my needs. Salesmen sound pushy, but they do know what they are talking about. Believe me that they know because everything that they told me that would help my camera work better actually works and i am much happier that I got these things. These guys are horrible, look somewhere else. They told me my item was in stock and they charged my card the same day. I haven't received anything and their customer service is a phone recorder, with no response to my messages. I'm letting my credit card company handle it as a fraudulent charge.

I was surprised at one of the negative reviews of Ephoto Club. I do most of my purchases on-line now and when it was time to replace my old Sony Mavica digital camera, I did a ton of research. I ended up purchasing a Canon G5, with the accessory package, from Ephoto CLub. I dealt with Pete (extension 211. I have a lifetime of experience in sales and customer service. Everything that was agreed to was delivered. Every promise and commitment made was kept.
Having such a positive purchasing experience in this day and age is not always the norm. I would absolutely highly recommend Ephoto Club for your next electronics purchase. And ask for Pete!
No reason to worry when you buy from ephotoclub.com. I did anf they truly exceeded my expectations. After I ordered i got an email that provided me with my cameras tracking number. I can not say thank you enough times for the piece of mind this provided me.

The other reviews are very accurate. Even after submitting the order online, they send you an email for you to contact them regarding the order. The use the excuse that they need the security code off the credit card. Then they try to upsell you. When you don't buy they are very rude. However, they sent my camera out immediately after I contacted them. Great camera! Great prices. Expect the email that tells you to contact them and call them right away.

I am ambivalent: Great price, a little pushy oversell; slow to ship (part of the oversell: checking the credit card security number gives them a second short at you), but the camera part of my order got to me once the final order was made (Cheapest shipping cost around). Reading the reviews made me leery, but my camera arrived 3-4 days after my initial order (PLUS UPS ground transport time). Price vs. service. You make the call.
Rotten,Worst Internet E-deal I have ever done, Again the WORST I mean the WORST. Roman was very high pressured and very rude. They would not ship untill I called them, they pressured me into purchasing extra everything. Customer service hold times are very long and the help sucks very rude. I would not recomend them to my worst enemy

I ordered the Fuji a210 and they asked me what I wanted to order after I already told them a couple of times. Then they wanted a family members #, why??? Got no confirmation letter so I called to see whats up. The guy tries to upsell me with everything in the store, even after i said that i only wanted the camera. He gets angry and says, "Maam, I dont think we can help you here. We are going to have to cancel your order." what???!!

Cheap prices, smart salesmen, pretty good service, and lots of savings. All in all a pleasurable experience. Could have been a little better on the shipping, but then again there was a screw-up on my side of the computer.

Very helpful merchant, Salesman by the name of Caleb was very nice and stayed on the phone with me nearly an hour explaining to me the different cameras they can offer me at the budget I had. I finally decided to go with the Minolta DIMAGE. Its really a wonderful product. I am really surprised at what a good camera I got for the amount I spent. I am amazed with the picture quality. I've just bought a Sony DCR-HC40 (the new DCR-TVR33) from them by phone. That way I can ask them tons of questions and figure out what kind of business, the mood and atmosphere of the shop. If they don't get upset or don't hang up on you, they seem to be ok.
The person at the phone was cool, not too much pushy, gentle ... not an a.s.ole like on other shop.
Of course, the seller tried to make me purchase other stuff but I did not want to and he did not feel angry about that,
well it's part of his job.
Otherwise the price is around the lowest ones, shipping $10.99 from NY (the shop) to Massachusetts for the camcorder I did not check the other products so the total is $542.98.
All in all, I'm so far satisfied with the phone/order service.
Let's see when I'll receive the promise (next week) and how.
The package shoul include all the stuff from Sony.

Ordered a Minolta DiMage Z1 ...took two days ground from NY to Virginia. ePhotoClub.com had the best price after searching the web. Very satisfied. I would purchase another product from them. The only problem I had was no e-mail conformation and shipping tracking number was not e-mailed to me. I called ephotclub and they gave me the tracking number but the order confermation was never e-mailed to me.
Stay away. Ordered Minolta Z1 on 12/02/03. No way to check order status on website. Each call takes 10-20 minutes to get through to a human. Over the following week, told "order went through, will ship tomorrow". After a week of this, noticed CC was charged. Called for tracking number. Was told can't ship due to "problem with CC". But, I protested, my CC was charged!! Guy mumbled something incoherent, asked for a different CC. Told him to cancel my order, now wondering how much time/effort it will take to get my CC refunded. Take my advice, avoid the hassle be spending the extra 10% at Amazon or some other well-established retailer.
