i ordered a minolta 5d dslr and was sent a email that said they oversold there limits. But when i go to there website 5 days later this product is still listed as in stock. I think this is some sort of scam just to draw customers to there website by advertising good prices on an item and not having it in hopes that you will buy something else.

We received an immediate response confirming the order - then nothing for about 4 weeks. When I emailed the sales rep to find out what was going on, he attempted to sell me another product and could not or would not give me a straight answer on the status of the order. I emailed again after waiting 4 weeks to hear something and received an email stating that he would feel more comfortable answering my questions over the phone. I simply inquired what the expected shipping date was for the product! So I called and got an answering machine. Then I went online to another vendor and purchased the product elsewhere. My overall impression is that these people are dishonest and I would not purchase from them again EVER!

I reply that I prefer mail and all they have to do is just confirm the web order and carry out the order.

The online transaction was flawless and the web site responded without making me wait. After that, I expected to get a shipping confirmation via email. Instead, I received an email asking that I call the merchant to confirm the order. I called the number and spoke with a representative. He verified the order information and checked stock on the item. All was well and I thought this is a done deal. The representative then asked me if I'd like a case with the computer. I stated, "No, thanks." He then asked if I wanted a warranty. I said, "No, I'll just take the warranty that it comes with." He told me that it doesn't have a warranty from the manufacturer. In disbelief, I challenged his answer knowing that Fujitsu offers a one-year warranty. He then asked me if I'd like a charger with the unit since it didn't come with one. Again, in disbelief, I challenged him. I've never heard of an electronic device with a rechargeable battery that didn't come with a means to charge it. He insisted that it didn't come with a charger.
It was then that I asked that the order be canceled. I should have been skeptical with their $71 UPS Ground shipping charge. Seems a bit excessive for a computer that weighs about 3.5 lbs. These tactics caused the whole transaction to fail.
Additionally, I wrote to Infinity Cameras explaining what happened. I have yet to receive a response.

what was advertised on the web page was not what you would receive. For example, the camera did not have a battery or battery charger. When you called to confirm the order, they tried to sell you additional items or said that they could not ship it to an address you wanted. Also, different salepersons gave you different prices for the same item.

A total effort in futility. Their ad promised a maximum of 3 days to fulfill order. I placed my order (2 weeks before xmas) and paid extra for overnight delivery. I waited 5 days, called for status of order and got shuffled from one person to another. None would give me status on order. All each guy wanted to do was sell me additional merchandise. Finally, I badgered/repeatedly asked the fourth guy "All I want to know is the status of my order" until he asked me when I wanted my merchandise. I replied "Tomorrow". He said "No way", proceeded to try and sell me more merchandise and promise me that I would receive my order, and anything else I would order now, by Xmas (9 days). I cancelled the order and purchased from a brick and morter establishment.
PS. Each guy sounded like the same guy I had previously talked with.

I canceled the order after calling Infinity and learned that the DCR-PC350 was a GRAY market unit. These WEB sellers should state in their on-line description that they are GRAY market. No warranty no accessories.

Typical bait and swindle scam.... E-Mail reply quotes one price until you call. Call informs you the price will be 30% higher than what you were "e-mail quoted" just to recieve what you initially expected. The customer service people were smug and very unprofessional. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

I p;laced and order and then read reviews about their switch and bait tactics. however, i waited until they called and sure enough they misrepresented their order. when i questioned if the d70 was a kit it turned out to be the camera body and the lense but not everything that comes with the camera. only upon questioning did i perceive this info. i cancelled the order and they did it with no problems but i would not buy from them again.
