Each DIRECTV Plus System includes DIRECTV Plus Receiver, and either a standard DIRECTV 18" dish antenna or the New DIRECTV Plus 18" x 24" dish antenna. All DIRECTV Plus Systems feature some of the smartest program guide technology on the market today. All Hughes-brand digital satellite receivers feature proprietary Turbo Video Accelerator technology - a revolutionary system which allows unprecedented levels of speed and on-screen functionality. Choose the programs you want to watch in advance, select them, then forget about them. Your DIRECTV System receiver will automatically switch to the programs you choose when they begin. Program up to 32 preselected programs to watch what you want, when you want. Choose up to 8 "catch" words to identify programming that interests you, program them into your receiver, then let your digital satellite receiver do the work. Programs listed on the programming guide can be color-coded for viewing ease - purple for movies, green for sports, red for news, and blue for other programming categories. All Hughes brand digital satellite receivers have unique artificial intelligence capabilities, which allow them to remember the 10 channels you spend most time watching. The system then compiles them into a "favorites" list. Choose to see only movie, sports, or news programming guides with a quick command from your remote control. Your Gold DIRECTV System comes with the new HANT-74 dish, bringing you all the quality programming of DIRECTV and the local stations you want to see. Advanced Functions include: TurboTune, TV Allowance, WatchWord, Auto Top Ten List and OneLine Guide. |
