| iballz401's Full Review: 2000 Honda Magna |
I just bought a new 2003 Magna this winter. I didn't buy it used simply because I like the candy blue color of the current model and If your going to spend money why not buy what you want and since we had a hard winter, the dealers where more than willing to cut off $500 off the purchase price. I have looked at the magna for a long time. I chose the Magna b/c of this site and also my friend owned a 94' Magna and raves about it all the time. I love the V-4 engine because it just gives you gobs and gobs of power and also I have tested the V twins and found it unimpressive. If you push it hard enough there is always a power lag in the V twins somewhere but not so with the Magna. I live in New Jersey and let me just say that this state does not lend itself to riders not because of the roads(this state had beautiful roads as well as scenery) it's because of all the jerks out there on the road. The Magna has more than enough power to leave them in the dust if they start to mess with you and believe me, they do.
I truly believe that this is the best bang for the buck. I can keep up with my friend's VFR with no problem and the bike is as smooth as can be.
However, for the money, how could Honda give us such a crap seat and small gas tank!!!! I heard that Honda was no longer making Magna's after this year which is one of the reasons why I got one but I hope that whatever replaces this beautiful machine is worthy of the name.
