| susieq112's Full Review: Philips CDR765 2-Disc CD Recorder |
I received this CD Recorder as a gift, after my ancient CD Player went bad...
Of course my parents bought this for me and I gave them specific instructions on what I did and did not want, and this product is what they got me.
Of course, once you open the book you have to go through the procedure of setting up your equipment... I had doubts or worrys about this since I was going to try to hook up a brand new CDR to a Stereo System my parents gave that they bought in 1987. To my suprise the only problems I had setting up this CDR was my own stupidty to switch the sound source on the old stereo system, and figuring out where or what I was going to put the 5 piece system, seeing that I had before had it setting on the speakers, which I was not willing to do with the new CDR.
After setting everything up the first thing I did was play a CD, then I recorded a whole CD for a friend. The recorded CD was just like the original and I was happy with the gift. 1.) Because unlike most people I did not want one of those deals where you can put 50 (Well 10 or 20) CDs in at a time, and 2.) I did not know for sure whether or not I would be able to hook it up with the almost considered ancient system I had.
A few weeks later I set into make a compilation CD which I had figured would take forever to do. While I chose not to speed through the tracks and CDs that I chose to record. I figured if I want to put them on a special disk, I best be able to listen to them, right?
Now I use my recorder to make compilation CDs for friends, and I also make second copies of my favorite CDs to put in my car. That way I can be as rough on the CDs in my car as I want, and when they are to scratched to listen to, I can just make another copy. Very conveinant!
