Toshiba FT8980 900MHz Black Cordless Phone
Here is another great electronic I had to make a purchase on. Again I like sticking with my usual brands. But decided it was yet time to make some changes. I order a lot of items from the internet and found this beauty.
Here are the features:
You get the 900 MHz cordless transmission plus a digital answering system. With the 900 MHZ you get great clarity and a safer cordless phone with an analog transmission. The higher the MHz the harder it is for "phone hackers" to get in on your calls. With Caller ID and call waiting. You can record upto 15 minutes of custom messages. You get a memo recording and time stamp, which is your time and date.
The caller-ID memory holds up to 50 names and numbers. Also, 10-number speed dial and a last number redial feature. Toshiba has an extended talk range feature with a 20 channel auto scan. Upto 50 feet range. It is nice to take your phone where you want without being cut off because you were to far away from the home base unit. Or if your kids are in the habit of leaving the phone lay around on the furniture, and you didn't get it back on the hook for a few days, no worry. Toshiba has that taken care of with their programmable digital security code. Another great feature is the hearing aid compatibility and you also get a speaker phone
With messages, you can store, skip or fast forward all 15 minutes worth of your messages. When listening to your messages you get a clear sound. Not like some where the messages are all so garbled you can't make out who it is.
Came with a 1 year warranty on parts and 1 year on labor. Not bad for the price.
It's still as great today as it was when I purchased it. I highly recommend this Toshiba product.
