| guptosis's Full Review: Panasonic SL-SX280 Personal CD Player |
I've had this player for about 6 months and it works like it did the first day I got it. The sound on the machine is incredible, especially after you buy better headphones. The bass is more than adequate for whatever type of music you listen to.
Not only does it have good sound but it's small, lightweight and durable. I carry the thing around in my pocket and sometimes I forget it's there. I've also dropped it a couple of times but all that happened was that the cover a bit scratched.
Other features that this CD player has are the 40 second anti-skip which works very well. For the time that I've had this player it's never skipped on me once. It also has the ability to play CD-R and CD-RW. I tried playing all 5 of my burnt CD's on this player and all 5 of them worked fine.
The battery life on the player is extremely long. The batteries that are in it right now have been in there for about 2 weeks. If you listen to it a lot, the batteries last for about 35 hours playing time, which is more than enough.
The button layout on the player is kind of awkward. If you put the player in your pocket, you need to memorize where the buttons are to hit them without taking the player out of your pocket. It's a minor detail, but it could have been better that way.
It has all the usual features (extra bass, shuffle, hold, repeat, track programing) which almost every CD player does. This one also has something that more and more CD players are using, resume play. When you stop and turn off the CD, then turn it on again (without changing the CD, duh, it will start playing from the track you left off at.
