Great Speaker Replacements

Pros: Tremendous highs and mids. Very well made. Excellent value!

Cons: Bass a bit lacking.

The Bottom Line: If you need 5x7 coaxial/full-range speakers, look no further than the Polk Audio DX7.

I recently replaced the rear speakers in my Nissan Pathfinder with a pair of Polk DX7's. While a bit lacking in the lows - or at least when compared with the mids/highs - these are some of the most brilliant and clean-sounding speakers I've ever heard! They replaced a set of component factory Clarion 5x7 "woofers" and 2" tweeters. The Polks flat out blow them away! But what did you expect?

Here are the specs from Polk Audio: Overall Frequency Response 45hz-20khz; Nominal Impedance 4 ohms; Power Handling (continuous) 40 w; Power Handling (peak) 130 w; Efficiency 89 dB; Magnet Weight 13.00 oz.
