Pros: Accurate reproduction of bass frequencies in a small sealed box.
Cons: Anemic power handling capability, only 150 Watts RMS.
The Bottom Line: Lacks power handling capabilities. There are way better subs out there, but these are OK for a value priced sub.

My experience using this product is fairly high, as I have owned this sub for a number of years. I purchased this sub in order to add more bass to my system, which was previously powered by the head unit, this sub is powered by a Sony 5 Channel 880 Watt amplifier running 150 Watts X1 RMS to the sub. The sub is rated 150 Watts RMS, and 600 Watts peak.
I love the fact that this product can provide so much mellifluous musical bass for such a low price, but it's not going to win any prizes in the loudness department. I love the accuracy of this sub in a small sealed enclosure. I love the fact that I only paid $100 for my Sony including a ported box. I love this sub in a sealed enclosure for tight accurate bass, appropriate for most musical tastes, especially for the discerning ear.
I hate the fact that I started out with a ported box, but fortunately I was able to trade with a friend who likes rap music. I hate the fact that the person whom I purchased the sub from assumed I might like the ported box for hip hop and rap music, but I am not one who is willing to sacrifice accuracy for sheer loudness. I hate this sub's relatively nominal rating of only 150 Watts RMS, although I believe its peak power handling capacity is rated around 600 Watts. It is perfectly matched with 150 Watts (or maybe 200?) nominal amplifier power. At some point I would like to upgrade to a sub that can handle a little bit more wattage, but I think Sony is just somewhat modest with their specifications, since Ive heard this sub beat pretty loud with a larger amp attached, although one might exercise caution if going to push this little sub to extremes, as it might not be able to take the abuse, I havent been willing to push mine to the edge yet, since Id like to keep it functioning for years to come. (Sony has been historically fairly reliable). This sub is great but it doesn't seem to hit as loud as some subs I have heard, being pushed by larger amps, leaving one desiring something with a little bit more impact (i.e. power handling), although I like accurate musical bass, and this sub seem sub seems to reproduce sounds fairly accurately when in a small sealed enclosure. I guess that is to be expected from an entry level sub with 150 Watts RMS. This sub does however nicely complement my 6 1/2" speakers which are really lacking in the low frequency range, albeit with less gusto than some of the more powerful subs on the market today, but still a relevant product for audiophiles everywhere.
