Pros: Good looking, good sounding, and good wattage. ( 150 watts )
Cons: Speakers get a little popping sound many times.
The Bottom Line: It would be great is the subwoofer enclosed a 10 or 12 inch subwoofer but it doesnt. Don't buy it.

| dnc4sound's Full Review: Yamaha YST-SW160 Subwoofer Speaker |
Here I went out looking for a new subwoofer because my JBL sub. was a little messed up. The guy at the store said the Yamaha sub. was a good choice.
It sounds very good when played at low and sometimes medium volumes, but when its cranked up a little too far, the 2 8in. speakers enclosed start to make little poping noises. You'd think that Yamaha packed 2 good woofers inside that could easily handle the 150 watt power rating. They can't. I am very dissapointed because i need good bass with my bose speakers.
My personal opinion.. don't buy it. Get a 10 or 12 inch subwoofer. That will do the job better.
