This has been a great processor so far. I'm running an ASUS board with a dual PCIE16 GeForce 6600GT video card set and 1GB of ram.

While I primarily use my machine for home office stuff, I have gotten hooked on FEAR and also play civ4. Neither game stutters in the least running a 19" LCD (1280 x 1024) under any circumstances.

For the basic PC user, this chip could be overkill. For a hardcore gamer, not enough. I've been extremely pleased using it for a mix of work and games. Good budget choice.
