I got this card as a gift from my brother. At first I didn't know what to make of it. Did my brother like me enough to give me a good video card, or did he hate me. I had an ATI Mach 64 video card before and I was happy with it. Seeing that the Mack 64 treated me well, I popped the ATI Rage PRO in. I was impressed. My brother actually liked me.
The quality was amazing. It brought new definition to my 3D games. I did notice slight difference between this card and my friend's Asus card. His was slightly better but also his system is slightly better than mine, which might have played a factor. Like I always say, when you are running for life with a bunch mutants chasing you with machine guns and shot guns, the last thing you want to do is admire the scenario. The one thing the ATI card had that his didn't was the TV tuner. This is a feature that makes this card an all-in-wonder. You can hook up your TV cable and watch your favorite shows. Another friend used his ATI Rage PRO and took screen shots of his favorite TV characters. He then used it for his wallpaper.
The card was easy to install. Easy to follow instructions. With some minor adjustments I was up and running in no time.
This card is one of the best all around video cards. I guess that's why it comes standard in most name brand computers. If you use your computer for games, multi-media or any other use, then this card is definitely for you. If you are a very serious gamer and that's all you use your computer for, then this card is not for you.
