Pros: Groovy smooth, tantalizing flavor you must try yourself. Delicious aftertaste.
Cons: Vodka size headaches the day after. "Absolut WHAT???"
The Bottom Line: Still unknown in many places, but this is another sensational "flavored" vodka from Absolut. Flexible, terse and ticklish. Count me in, please.

| lirubis's Full Review: Absolut Vanilla Vodka |
Easter vacation means golf and (usually) alcohol drinking, for this humble servant of yours. As much as I respect Absolut vodka, I think this Vanilia version is kinda...well, odd.
For me, few mixed drinks are better that Absolut Citron or Mandrin over LOTS of ice and tonic water. Just love them. And they are FANTASTICALLY fresh for those hot, steamy nights on the Mexican beach party scene. Don't expect me to say something negative about those 2 because it simply will not happen.
OK, maybe the hangovers are just below brutal for the average Joe, but if you have had the chance to get loaded with cheap bulk "Oso Negro vodka" in any Mexican beach, you will soon agree that NOTHING else is worse or more dangerous. I just dont over do it with Absolut, and things flow smoothly. Try doing that with Skyy...
Well, lets move on to Absolut Vanilia then.
Vodka is vodka, and Absolut is above average vodka. Organopeltically speaking, few vodkas have the character and personality to make them stand over the rest AND be recognizable by taste alone. Vanilia (yes, the name is V-A-N-I-L-I-A) is as unique and delicious as any of its siblings in the Absolut family, and IMHO, destined to become another major hit in the brandīs already impressive history.
VANILIA FLAVA
On the nose, this vodka feels softer than most, although peppery (amazing...can someone explain this, please?) and highly volatile. The Vanilla presence is not as strong as many would think, but the "grainy" and ethilic punch of fine vodkas dominate all the way.
Now for the tasting experience.
It is unusual.
it is fun.
It is seductive, almost ticklish.
Vanilla is there. Oh, yes. But as the other "flavored" vodkas from Absolut, this one has a very subtle, almost faint touch of vanilla sweetness in the general flavor structure. Yes, it tastes like Absolut Vodka, first and foremost. Texture is terse and delicate for my taste, yet it delivers a good slap to the taste buds. Folks, this is one interesting little vodka.
The flavor is far from being "pure vanilla". It has a little buttery feel, kind of an "olive" touch, as well as pecan/toffee and white chocolate traces. Nice and subtle.
Now for the fun part.
I very rarely drink something mixed with carbonated soft drinks, and even more rarely Cola. Well, I chugged down 4 servings of ABsolut Vanilia "pintados" (this means: Vodka, Ice, soda and a touch of cola). The taste is just so...unique! Not tropical, but something classy and "cosmo", subtle yet sexy. I did had fun with this one!.
Yep, try describing someone who has never had one Dr. Pepper how it tastes like...
I enjoyed it a lot. I will have it this way again, someday. Yes, I recommend it with full flags and credentials. No, I don't regret mixing it with Coke.
But you will regret not tasting this one yourself...even if you are not a vodka fan.
ENJOY!!
