Another over the counter pain medication that I have found works great is Advil™ Liqui-Gels®. Now mind you they claim to work better than Tylenol™ but for me they both work great!
The Product
Advil™ Liqui-Gels® is the first and only pain reliever that has a fast acting liquid capsule. And it is gentle for the tummy. Each liqui-gel has 200 mg of pain relief/fever reducer. Solubilized Ibuprofen Capsules.
You can use this product for relief of headaches, common cold, backache, minor arthritis pains, menstrual cramps, toothache, muscle pains and fever. Of course most over the counter medications will help with the pains, however, not all over the counter medications will work the same for people.
Me, I use it for headache and arthritis pain. I keep this product on the boat, and in the house as well as Tylenol, since my family and I can take both products I keep them spread around for the entire family!
The ones I buy are the 40 count for 4.99 at my local grocery store. Prices and counts do vary from store to store.

Do not use:
If you have ever had an allergic reaction to any other pain reliever/fever reducer with any other pain reliever/fever reducer with any other product containing ibuprofen. This is where I have to be careful.
Aleve™, I cannot take because of the type of medications in it. In fact, being allergic to so many medications it is a comfort to know that I can take Advil™ and Tylenol® products.
Directions
Do not take more than directed.
Adults: Take 1 capsule every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms occur. If pain or fever does not respond to 1 capsule, 2 capsules may be used, but do not exceed 6 capsules in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor. The smallest effective dose should be used.
Children: Do not give to children under 12 unless directed by a doctor
How I Feel
I like the liquid gel caps because the do seem to dissolve faster and get to my pain quicker than caplets do. I also like the fact that my headaches are gone quickly. At the very least dulled enough that I can tolerate them.
This product however did not help my husband’s toothache pain as well as the Tylenol® 8 Hour did and that was a disappointment to me. But, overall Advil™ Liqui-Gels™ do help other pain symptoms that we have and that is a good thing.
Since different over the counter medications work differently for my family and me I keep this product in the boat (as mentioned above) as well as in the bathroom and kitchen area of the home. I also carry some in my purse of this product and Tylenol® products.
Overall I do recommend Advil® Liqui-Gels® to all!
