| brandon0324's Full Review: Alpine CDA-7894 Car CD/ MP3 Player |
I have had my Alpine CDA-7894 for over 3 months now. I personally feel that I could not have got a nicer deck for the money. The Germans make the best when it comes to Car Audio. Before making this purchase I did allot of research on other decks in the $500 and under price range. I looked at nearly every brand in car audio. But the Alpine CDA-7894 caught my eye. It is one of the few decks on the market that pushes your system to 27 watts RMS/60 watts peak x 4 channels. Most decks I looked at were just barely pushing 45 watts peak x 4 channels.
One of my favorite features of the deck is the switch able green/amber button illumination blackout display. This thing can change colors!! It's so sweet. The Media Xpander™ by Alpine does wonders for the sound. It restores what was lost in the making of the music. For example if you have music downloaded of the internet, sometimes it does not sound as good. Once you turn your Media Xpander™ on a miracle takes place. It plays MP3 files on CD-R or CD-RW plus audio CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. It comes with a wireless remote which I can't stop playing with. I have got in to the habit of always holding the remote in my right hand when I drive. I love it!
If you ever plan on getting a full system with subs the Bass Engine® Plus is for you, can adjust the bass center frequency, width, and level, plus treble center frequency and level adjustments with the touch of your fingertips. The display is easy to see in the day time, even where I live in Phoenix, Arizona! Where the sun is always in your face. At night time it looks even brighter and better. Sometimes I find myself watching more of my deck than the road, cause it is so nice to look at.
There is only one weakness I can think of about this deck, and that is the faceplate starches easy. Alpine gives you a plastic case to put your faceplate in, but I didn't like it. So I went out and bought a soft leather one by Case Logic for 11.99 I feel that this protects it even better. In closing, what I have told you is only 1/4 of the stuff that this deck is capable of doing. Read more about it on www.alpine1.com Thanks For Reading.
