Pros: Excellent sound quality, easy to read display, amazing amount of options.
Cons: Faceplate scratches easily, track listing in MP3 mode is awkward.
The Bottom Line: Overall this is probably one of the best sounding and most functional decks on the market today and tomorrow.

| superchicken13's Full Review: Alpine CDA-7894 Car CD/ MP3 Player |
I purchased this receiver about 2 months ago from Audio-Video Unlimited in Abbotsford. I have never regretted that purchase since. After spending about 3 hrs installing the player, I was up and rolling. The 7894 is a little more complicated to set up than other receivers, as it requires power directly from the battery in order to power the massive V-Drive MOSFET 240W amplifier. I went on Alpine's I-Personalize site and calculated my Time Correction with their setup, and was amazed.
The only problem I have with the deck is when I load an entire album onto a data cd, the track numbers are messed up. Tracks are not played in the order they should. Even with track numbers in the filename....
Overall this is probably one of the best sounding and most functional decks on the market today and tomorrow.
PS I am powering Clarion Power-Series 6.5s and 5x7's with this deck.
