Pros: The 14oz jar lasts a long time.

Cons: Since this is an ointment, it is greasy.

Aquaphor is an ointment base containing petroleum jelly and mineral oil. I originally purchased it when looking for something to treat my dry, cracked feet and hangnails.

It's an ointment - not a lotion so it doesn't absorb into your skin quickly. Rather than use it during the day, I rub it into my hands and feet right before bedtime (the jar stays on my bedside table). It has a nice scent and texture.

For the money, this works better than anything else I've tried.

The product is versatile, can be used for diaper rash, minor burns and sunburn, dermatitis, etc. Can be used as a base for making your own ointments (adding calendula, etc.).
