| bterry's Full Review: Aussie Slip Detangler |
Some days I hate my hair... that happens quite often actually. It is very long and fine - and tangles easily. Combing out my hair after a shower is often time-consuming and annoying, due to all the tangles.
I use conditioner every day - mostly because of the tangles. Because my hair is so fine, conditioner often weighs my hair down, causing it to look flat and lifeless.
A few months ago, I discovered Aussie Slip Detangler - and boy! What a difference it has made!
What Aussie has to say: ~for tangly hair~ Weightless Conditioner ~~Nothing is more damaging to hair than pulling at wet tangles. Our formula, with Australian Calendula eases tangles & adds shine by smoothing the outer layer of the hair. And its clean-rinsing for no build-up. So kiss your tangles good-bye!
I haven't totally kissed my tangles good-bye - but I can tell you they've decreased by about 98%. My hair feels silky and smooth and is not weighted down and flat like it once was. I absolutely love the scent - which is clean and subtly floral.
I've also noticed improvement in the health and texture of my hair. Aussie mentions how damaging it can be to comb out your hair while it is wet & they're absolutely right. I have long hair that is generally healthy, but often suffered breakage in my hair as a result of combing it while it is wet and full of tangles.
When your hair is long and straight - breakage is pretty noticeable and unbecoming. I long envied the chicks in the TV commercials with long, shiny, smooth hair that bounced and flowed with no signs of breakage. I'm not quite there yet - but sister, I'm on my way!
Ingredients: Water * Ceteryl Alcohol * Dicetyldimonium Chloride * Stearamidolpropyl Dimethylamine * Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract * Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract * Simethicone * Citric Acid * Fragrance * Propylene Glycol * DMDM Hydantoin * Methyl Paraben * Propylparaben
Australian Calendula, according to Aussie: These 6-12 inch plants with large yellow or orange flowers grow in sunny regions of Australia. Our unique formula, blended with Calendula, helps ease tangles and smooth the hair.
My 12 oz. bottle of Aussie Slip was purchased at Wal*Mart. This product is easily found at most grocery, discount or drugs stores & is priced for even a tight budget.
I don't have to use very much after each shampoo - as it easily spreads through my wet hair and distributes evenly. I typically leave it in for ten minutes while I shave and then rinse right before I exit the shower.
My hair looks, feels and smells great throughout the day. I am currently on my second bottle, and will be buying many more in the future. I've found a product I know I'll be loyal to - which for me, is saying quite a bit.
Pick up a bottle next time you're shopping & keep an eye out for me in one of those shampoo ads in the future!
