During the colder months, when we have the heat on, my hair tends to dry out. My hair also gets dry after blow drying it and using a curling iron. I don't do both that often, but when I do, I pay the price. A friend of mine told me she uses Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo on her hair, and it works wonders on her dried out hair. I ended up buying the Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo and the conditioner that goes along with it, through Avon, on sale for $2.49 each, regular price is $3.49.
Packaging and claims
Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo comes in a 11 fl. oz plastic bottle. I have the older version of Avon's bottles, with the cap on the top, and not the bottom. The shape of the bottle is different too, with mine it is wide at top and tapers down slightly near the bottom. The newer bottles are white, with a different color cap for each, and the bottles are more sleeker. The older bottles are all gray, with gray caps, and a boring looking bottle.
Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo to be created with an exclusive vitamin and protein enriched Balancing B2 Complex to help tame dry and damaged hair. The shampoo also has a weather responsive formula that gently cleanses and rebalances hair, adjusting to the moisture levels in the air. Leaving you with hair that is beautiful no matter how the weather is outside.
My experiences with the hydrating shampoo
I bought my bottle of Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo back in June and still have half a bottle left. Yes, I do wash my hair everyday, but I use different shampoos so my hair doesn't get used to one shampoo and stop working. Using a different shampoo every so often cleanses your hair of the buildup of the other shampoos.
I use a dime size of shampoo, followed by a second time if needed. The follow it up with Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Conditioner. Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo lathers up great, and one time is usually enough to clean your hair throughly, unless you tend to sweat a lot or has a vigorous exercise session. Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo rinses away wonderfully and leaves your hair smelling great for hours after your shower. The scent is a citrus scent and isn't overwhelming, but light and airy. Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo is gentle enough to use daily.
The only problem I have is it weighs my hair down. I do use a different shampoo to help straighten my hair, but I don't want this one to do it for me. I want my natural wavy hair to stay wavy when I use Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo. First I thought it was the conditioner weighing my hair down. So I stopped using that for a few days and found it wasn't the conditioner since my hair was still flat. I even used a different shampoo to see if it was that, and used the advance techniques conditioner and still had flat hair. So when I use this shampoo I blow dry my roots only and let it air dry rest the way to put body back into my hair. Since I use Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo at least 2 or 3 times a week, my hair dries out using the blow dryer. I found Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo does do as it claims, by helping replenish your hair with moisture.

Recommendations
Even though Avon Advance Techniques Hydrating Shampoo weighed my hair down, I would recommend this shampoo to anyone, guys too. It leaves your hair smelling great, silky soft, and does help rehydrate your dry hair. At only $3.49 regular price and 11 fl. oz, you get a lot of shampoo and it can last you for awhile.
