Before the holidays, I had seen advertisements for this computer from Patriot and visited their website to get more information. I was impressed with what I had seen and pleased that they offered financing.
3 of my 4 children like to use the computer for homework, playing games, etc and I was tired of them fighting over the 1 computer that we had that is in our bedroom. I wanted a computer of their own, in their own playroom so that I could help them with a game if I was fixing dinner without having to run up and down the stairs.
I applied for financing and was approved within 10 minutes. I had to call their 800 number as I misplaced the confirmation number needed to purchase this.
I had no trouble ordering it (the 1st week of december) and was told it would arrive before Christmas during the 3rd week of december. To my surprise, it arrived about the 15th of december.
The computer was ready to go on Christmas Day and we have all been pleased with it. I have used it as well to see the different programs and well because it was new and shiny.
One of the main reasons for buying this was the games and programs that it came with. They have a wide range of CDs that all my daughters (ages 3-11) have used and enjoyed.
We haven't used the digital camera yet because I keep forgetting to get a 9 volt battery.
I also purchased the printer with this and this is where I'm having the biggest problem. The offer stated there would be a $50 rebate and there was no form in the box for it. It also says it off-line alot and there is no paper although a stack of crisp sheets is sitting in the tray.
The other problem I had was with their customer service. I needed to call them because the computer arrived one day and the packing sheet did not mention the printer. I called that night to make sure it was coming and was on hold for 1 hour, 11 minutes and 59 seconds only to hear the same 3 Christmas songs being played. The printer arrived the next night.
I realize that I made the call a week before the holiday but I would have thought they would be on top of something like this.
Other than that, the computer has been great. It's quick, has many features, comes complete with fun programs and printing applications and has made 3 little girls very happy.
Now if only I could pay this off...
