| kld718's Full Review: Bath & Body Works Tempations Frosting Forever 3 In... |
I am huge fan of Bath & Body Works 3-in-1 products. Whenever a new scent is released I am there purchasing it. That is, if I happen to like the sound of the scent. Frosting Forever was one that I found over a year ago at a semi-annual sale. At that time it was part of the current Temptations line and the only one that season that I had yet to try. Well, I tried it but couldn’t take the scent. I recently found it under my sink and decided to give it another try. I purchased this 3-in-1 body wash, bubble bath, and shampoo in a round plastic 4-oz bottle with a flip open cap that is priced at $5.00. I purchased this bottle for 50% off at the end of the sale so it was a pretty good buy. Most of the caps tend to correspond with the scent of the product and the liquid has a good consistency and a creamy coloring. These products also come in larger 16-oz bottles, priced at $12.00 each, but purchasing the smaller bottle is a good way to test the product before buying the larger bottle. If the smaller bottles cannot be found, you can return the product to Bath & Body Works if you are dissatisfied. One thing that I always have to say about these 3-in-1 products is that they do not work as a 3-in-1 for me. I have tried several different scents on my hair and none of them seem to make my hair as smooth as other shampoos, despite the provitamin B5 it’s supposed to contain, that I buy for that purpose. It’s just not worth using it as a shampoo, although it does clean my hair, because I always need to use a conditioning spray afterwards due to the unmanageability. These products do work as bubble bath also. The bottle states that you need to use 2-3 capfuls in the bath and I have found this to be true, although I rarely have the time to soak in the tub and wouldn’t want to soak in this scent anyway. But if you are going to use it, make sure you let it run through the water coming out and not just pour it into the tub. The liquid seems to produce more bubbles this way. ~ Ingredients ~ Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycol Stearate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Cocamide MEA, Fragrance, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Sodium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch, Amodimethicone, Glycerin, Polyquaternium-7, PEG-12 Dimethicone, PEG-150 Distearate, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Sodium PCA, Acrylates Copolymer, Disodium EDTA, Citric acid, Benzophenone-4, Isopropyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Triethanolamine, Diazolidinyl Urea, Benzyl Benzoate, Citral, Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool, Yellow 5, Yellow 6. Using this stuff as a body wash is the way that I use it more often than not. They don’t lather up a whole lot like regular soap does, but you do get a slight lather. You can apply this wash with you hands or with a sponge. It takes a little longer to wash this stuff off than regular soap but it doesn’t leave a residue. It does leave a slightly sweet smell left on your skin, but unfortunately does not smell like buttercream, which was the scent I was hoping for after sniffing in the store. This particular 3-in-1 has a very upsetting fake scent that smells more like plastic and something else, that I can’t quite get, mixed in. I tend not to trust my little sniff in the store anymore because I never get what I am sniffing when trying it out in the shower later on. The scents on these 3-in-1’s usually do not linger very long. But your shower is left with a slight scent, making your whole bathroom smell good for a small period of time. Bath & Body Works does not test this product on animals and like I stated earlier, you can return it to the store if you are unsatisfied. I have yet to see this one still available in the stores but you can probably pick it up on E-bay if you feel compelled to try it but I am recommending against the effort of finding a bottle. I cannot complain about how the product worked (except for as a shampoo), but the scent was just really disappointing. Bath & Body Works New Albany, OH. 43054 ~ Happy washing!
