Cons: Friends always arrive with bathing suits...
The Bottom Line: You will not regret buying this or any other Beachcomber Hot Tub - especially if you use it outside in cold temperatures! A great investment.

Truly the best investment we've ever made. My husband and I researched spas for 2 years before we bought one and it was the Beachcomber 580.
We have had our 580 for nearly 2 years now and have had no service issues at all.
We live in Canada, so insulation and energy efficiency is really important to us...and this tub is really energy efficient. We use it just about every day and all year around - it is installed on our backyard deck. We have only noticed a $4 to $10 increase in our monthly electric bill - even in the coldest winter months. During our research, we spoke to many spa owners who drain their tubs for the winter because they are too expensive to heat. Not so with the Beachcomber 580...which is great because spending time in an outdoor spa in the winter is wonderful.
Our tub fits 8 to 10 with very comfortable contoured seats, a large footwell and easily movable jets. Jets in the footwell are great therapy for tired legs and feet....ah! Very nice at the end of a long work day.
We have found maintaining our tub only takes a few minutes a week, especially once you balance the water after changing it out (every 3 to 4 months). The shell seems pretty much indestructible - not a scratch or mark on it, highly doubt that there ever will be.
When we first started thinking about getting a spa, it seemed like a luxury purchase. But after enjoying the health benefits of hydro-therapy, our spa is now a part of our daily routine and a necessity in our lives. We are not sure how we ever got along without it!
As for socializing, we find that we have had many wonderful conversations with friends and family in our 580. It is large enough to enjoy with lots of friends but still sized for intimate conversations.
