Ever since I moved into my new home a few years back, I wanted to, you know, jazz it up a little bit. I got several poster flags with my favorite bands' designs, flowers to plant in the back where the sun shines, and custom-built wooden shutters to put on my windows! However I knew that I was lacking something... a "BEWARE OF DOG" sign to scare off the neighborhood troublemakers!
It didn't take long for me to find this handy dandy sign in a nearby Dollar General. It was priced at five dollars, and I knew that I probably wouldn't be able to find one any cheaper at big name stores such as Wal-Mart or Target, so I purchased it. I liked how it said plain and simple, in all capital letters: BEWARE OF DOG
Installation was a piece of cake! It beared a strong resemblance to the average liscence plate, and it had a small hole in the center of the top half to put the nail through. It's also about the same size as a liscence plate, and I didn't need it to be much bigger for it to be seen by people strolling along.
Cuddles, my precious golden retriever, wouldn't harm a fly. However, there's nothing in my book that says I can't make people believe I have a lean, mean, barkin' and bitin' machine!
All in all, this sign is a hoot! There are many variations of this sign, but this is definitely one of the best! What are you waiting for? Raise awareness of the beast that is your dog!
