LILvoyce's Full Review: Bigelow's Constant Comment
Constant Comment by Bigelow's, happens to be a very unique tasting tea. I wasn't so sure about it when I purchased it. I wasn't expecting a black tea combined with orange flavoring and spices. I assumed it was going to be all herbal in taste.
I am an avid black tea drinker, so you could imagine how excited I was when I noticed the dark color of this tea after I had steeped it for two minutes as suggested on the packaging. It prompted me to check out the ingredients of this tea: "Black tea, rind of oranges, sweet spice, and natural flavor".
I must admit I was leary of tasting this tea. It smelled a bit artificial as it did taste. It smells like an orange slice gummy candy, and tastes like a mix between a cup of black tea, and spicy gumdrops. It also smells and tastes like apple butter when this tea starts to cool off.
I can't say that I like or dislike this tea. I would probably purchase it again, but only consume it when I am in the mood. It definitely reminds me of Halloween/Fall/and Thanksgiving spices all rolled up into a cup of tea.
I don't sense any citrus sourness, which was a plus. I don't like sour tasting teas. It was just that it tastes a bit too artificial for me to consider this tea a favorite. If you are looking to sample something that is different for a change, then look no further. You have unique right here.
If I had to guess what their natural flavor and sweet spices were, I would have to say that maybe there is a hint of cinnamon, apple, and licorice. Bigelow doesn't list what these spices are, but maybe they don't because the flavors aren't THAT pronounced.
The best way to drink this tea in my opinion, is steeping it for 2 minutes. I like to serve it hot with some Tupelo Honey. This honey is so flavorful that I don't need any additional sweetener. It really compliments the orange flavoring in this tea.
I also like to drink this tea hot without any sweeteners or honey at all. I almost prefer it this way most of the time. There are so many flavors going on that the sweetness can sometimes overpower this cup.
Bigelow
As with most Bigelow teas, you are getting 20 tea bags per box. I bought mine at Walmart for under three dollars. Each tea bag is individually wrapped in it's own foil bag. Each bag comes with a tag and string.

Biglow blends and packages their teas in the USA.
Overall
While this tea is unique in taste, I will only give it an average rating. I feel that the quality of this tea is average, nothing too special or that stands out. I would recommend it to those that are tea fans, just to say that have tried it. It has a take it or leave it type impression on me. The price was inexpensive so you might want to give it at least a try. You might like it.
