We have one of those trees that drops millions of helicopter leaves on our driveway and sidewalk, so I just needed to get a leaf blower. I used to sweep up all of the leaves just to find the whole driveway littered by the next morning, and it would take forever to do it.
I chose the Black and Decker Leaf Hog because of the great reviews that I saw here and its price. It's a great product and really does what it's supposed to do. Not only does it blow the leaves away, but you can also choose to vacuum them into the bag that you can sling on your shoulder. The bag fills up fairly quickly. I was only vacuuming up tiny leaves - I can imagine how fast it will fill up with the bigger leaves in the Fall. The vacuum and blower attachments are so simple to use - just a push of a button to attach and detach them. The blower is powerful enough and can blow leaves that are 6 or 7 feet away. It's not very loud like other blowers. The only time that noise can be a factor is when you accidentally vacuum twigs and it mulches them (you'd need a pair of earplugs).
I also bought the Leaf Collection System that fits all Black and Decker leaf blowers. It attaches to a garbage can so that you don't have to pick the leaves up and they go straight in the can. I've found that the collection system does not attach well to skinnier garbage cans that have wheels and handles toward the top. The bag kept on flying off the top, despite tinkering with the adjustable tie. The best garbage can to use would be a regular one without wheels that you drag around. Other than that, the whole concept is great. I was able to get the majority of the leaves into the garbage can.
