*snerk* I've been burned by paranormal fantasy/romance too many times NOT to be cautious, and this book sounds like a good example of that. Despite the focus on romance and/or love scenes, the chemistry part seems to be missing in a lot of them. It's like ordering a main course and only getting the garnishes!

That's a really good way to put it! And good lord, 'rod of love'?! I'm amazed anyone still writes like that!
So instead I'll recommend Pamela Clare's 'Unlawful Contact.' I'll be posting my review here soon; it made me cry. *sniff*
