After reading reviews on Epinions, and on Consumer Reports, we decided to take advantage of a local appliance store's end of year sale. We got a SHE43M05UC, aka the Bosch Evolution 300.
We like the simple controls, and it was ranked as being the second most efficient dish washer (Asko was more efficent, but much more expensive).
The Evolution 500 and 800 had extra controls, but we did not feel that there was any value.
We like the lack of a heating element, which means you can put delicate items on the bottom or top.
The interior is stainless, so no washing silver, but we don't have any, so that is not an issue.
It has high quality wire racks, with long life coating inside.
There is plenty of room inside, contrary to some complaints that Bosch has small interiors. Maybe it is smaller, but we have been able to put any of our dishes inside without any trouble.
We use the recommended Electrosol 3 in 1 tabs, and we do not need to use the JetDry, because it is built into the tabs. We have never had to prewash.
I would say we have checked the particulate filter about once a month, and sometimes we have emptied it, but no particular problems.
Two months of owner ship, and we like it very much.
