I bought my scanner about 2 years ago.
At first, it was working fine,
but after a while, I had it replaced as the head tilted out of its position.
But got another problem after that.
The TWAIN driver was unable, and still is, unable to communicate with the scanner.
Got the bed checked, nothing's wrong with it.
Bought a new USB cable, which doesn't work with it, so I'm stuck with the original cable, which to me, seems a bit to loose, and the new one (planning to return it soon)
It does the same probleme on win98 SE, on win2000 pro, and server, so it can't be the software, it has to be a hardware problem.
The customer service...
I called Canon, who sent me to see a authorized dealer.
They had no clue whatsoever about what to do with it, because back then, it was new.
They helped me in a very friendly (grin)way (ask for the adress, and AVOID IT).
My advice...go get another one !!!
