| Asian_N02's Full Review: Canon Elph 240 APS Film Camera |
When I was a little kid, I have always remembered my dad owning a Canon Camera. I do not remember the model number or anything, but to this day, he still uses the same camera. The camera is older than me, so it shows me the reliability and quality of the Canon brand. So, when it came time for me to purchase a camera, I decided to go with the Canon Elph.
I have owned this camera for about 2 years, and I have taken over 100 rolls of pictures with this camera. The compact size is ideal for the person who does a lot of things and likes to take pictures. For example, I have taken this camera with me to the beach, hiking a mountain, climbing a mountain, riding a motorcycle, skydiving...the list goes on and on. It's portability and ease of use is perfect!!! Even with gloves on, I can still power up the Canon Elph and take a picture without taking my gloves off. It has a one touch capability. One button turns the camera on and off. The zoom feature is an awesome capability of this small camera as well! I have used the zoom many times and each time the quality of the picture is astonishing.
There are many things that I love about this product, but I will only mention a few. First, I love the tidiness of this camera. It is a very compact camera, and as mentioned above, I have taken it almost everywhere except underwater. It fits into any pocket that I have. Second, I love the ease-of-use of this camera. The features of this camera are straight forward and simple. After reading the instruction booklet once, I have not cracked it open again yet. It is very simple and easy to use.
There is only one thing I hate about this product. The pop-up flash does not always pop-up. It has a tendency to get stuck every once in a while. I figured that with the age of this camera, that it is expected to happen. The other thing I hate is that this camera gets stolen very easily. Everybody wants an Elph, and unfortunately for me, my camera was stolen; however, I purchased an Elph 2, and I am still impressed with the Elph series.
Any person who likes to take pictures, but needs a portable, compact camera needs an Elph. As you can see, I have taken this camera in many different places with me. I would encourage the active person who loves to take pictures to own this camera!
