| pbanas's Full Review: Combi Savvy Z Standard Stroller |
My wife and U vowed that our first baby would not slow us down and our little girl has traveled with us around the world. This baby, at 14 months has been to Seoul, Tokyo, Miami, Tampa, DC, Paris, London (twice), Sydney, Russia and all of Scandinavia. And so has this stroller. It is by far and away the best baby purchase we've made. Don't get me wrong, we have another stroller for around home that ways about 15 pounds and takes up plenty of space and does recline, but for traveling, if you do a lot of it, this is the only one to buy. WHY?
First, it folds up to be the only stroller that fits in all airplane overhead bins. This is a good thing. Second, it's very light at 7.7 pounds. That makes it easy to lift above your head and carry no matter what your size. Third, It collapses in half with one hand which makes it a dream when your other arm is full (with baby) and you have to throw it in a cab or make it smaller for a subway. Fourth, there's a shoulder strap and you really could carry this one for a ways, and it's especially easy on stairs.
Some might say that the body of the stroller seems flimsy, but over a year, we've found it very durable. It doesn't have shock absorbers so the ride might be a big jiggly but our baby seems to enjoy the ride, except when she's very sleepy.
On the other side of the ledger, the back of the seat does not recline all the way which makes it rare that baby will sleep in this stroller (not great for LONG walks past naptime). The mesh bag on the bottom is small-ish but functional. There is a very small pouch at waist-high that is so shallow that bottles and other items sometimes fall out, but we're quibbling here. This is a great invention! If you are in and out of airplanes or trains, this is the only one to buy.
