| compmanio36's Full Review: Concord Camera Eye-Q Go LCD Digital Camera |
I bought this camera from target for $60 a month ago. Today, it won't turn on. A expected life span of a month?!I figure I paid $60 to rent the camera for a month. Sounds like I got ripped off.
Even when the camera was working, it took simply horrible pictures. Anytime the flash went off, everything was a white blur. Or the flash would not go off in the right situations for it, leaving nothing but a black screen for a picture. Even when I had sunlight to help with the picture, which was of course, outside, then everything was blurry, because it is impossible for me to hold my hands still enough for this thing to take a decent picture. Every last one of the pictures I took was blurry and distorted, even at the highest resolution. Towards the end of it's life the pictures I took with it started to get a blue tint to them that nothing I did could get rid of.
Then of course, came transferring the pictures to my PC. The software for the camera was not a problem. One of the few pros I can say about this camera. However, the USB cable that you get to hook the camera to your PC is flimsy and will suddenly disconnect for no reason. It will be physically plugged in, but suddenly it's like the connections to the plug itself are loose. I opted for the SD card option, which worked very well for me.
Overall, this camera, while it worked, was OK because it's flaws were somewhat offset by the fact that it WAS only $60. However, I am now kicking myself that I didn't wait and buy a 3MP camera for little more than twice the price and it would have lasted more than a month, and took better pictures as well. I recommend you do the same.
