On march 24th my husband and I decided to get our four month old a new car seat. We looked at many car seats that only went up to forty pounds, but for features they seemed to be exactly what we wanted. Realizing that our son is growing very quickly we knew that at forty pounds, all of those car seats would have to be replaced within a year or two. Then we found the Alpha Omega and it was just what we wanted.
When we took the car seat out of the box there were no pieces to be assembled and it was quickly in place in our back seat in the store parking lot.
Some good points we found about the seat are that the tether straps never have to be rethread, the five point harness is very easy to quickly secure, the head rest for infants actually works and the base of the car seat is very wide and sturdy!
The only disadvantage to this carseat is that the base is so wide that it doesn't fit between the buckles in the back seat and when the seat is in the rear facing tilt position it still isn't enough for our four month old to sit comfortably in.(Which both problems are more of our car's fault than anything!)
The fabric of the seat is very durable and thick. It is also easily cleaned. Repositioning the harness to a different shoulder height is also simple.
I would recommend this car seat to my friends and family. (And I Have!!)
