baysball50's Full Review: Cuisinart DGB-600 10-Cup Coffee Maker
We thought it would be a compact way to make a great cup of coffee when we saw the grind and brew feature on this Cuisinart product, but we found out immediately that the grinder was difficult to clean and messy to use. The coffee beans go into the top, and to clean it after using, you must take out several items to clean. The grinder is not just one easy to remove unit, so we quit using it, which made for an expensive basic coffee maker used just to brew coffee. We bought a separate Cuisinart grinder, which is ironic.
And now, after about a year, the brew function has malfunctioned, making only 1-2 cups of coffee at a time no matter how much water you have put in. I am constantly checking the water reservoir to see how much water is left in it, which is difficult because the reservoir is dark and the cups markings are hard to see. Currently this coffee maker is requiring multiple brewing cycles to get even one pot of coffee made. I expected so much more from a Cuisinart product. I will say that the thermal pot is a nice feature, and kept coffee warm for 1-3 hours.
