Babycarrots's Full Review: Cuisinart SPB-7 SmartPower 7-Speed Blender
I am trying to CUISINART my kitchen. I replaced my blender recently, from the wal-mart special, to this cuisinart power 7 speed blender. Let me tell you there is a world of difference in the power.
I like to make mixed drinks. With my old blender you had to put the drink mix in with the ice, so then it was hard to get the right mixture. It either came out too watery or too dry. With the cuisinart blender you don't have to add the liquid with the ice. It has a special feature on it that is for ice crushing. With this blender i can even make smoothies.
My new blender purees, chops, mixes, and liquifies. I have found the chop feature to be a great help with making sirloin steaks. It is really hard to hand dice all of the bell peppers and onions just right, but now i have perfection every time.
The blender jar is glass rather than plastic. I love this because with the plastic jar i had before it would crack in the dishwasher. When making salsa the plastic one would stain and keep the smell of jalapenos in it as well. Now i am not afraid to use my blender for anything.
The control pad has indicator lights, this tells you what speed you have selected. It is also easy to clean because the buttons don't stick up like my onld one did. Speaking of cleaning it also has removable stainless steel blades to make it easier to clean. It also features a cord storage to make it more compact.
A recipe booklet is also included. It has great recipes for drinks such as those great smoothies that i mentioned earlier in my review.
A limited three year warranty comes with the blender. I find this extremely comforting because the price was a little steep.
Over all this is a great product, as most cuisinart products are. I would highly recommend this for any one. Especially college kids who are discovering the wonderful world of mixed drinks.
