| littleb28's Full Review: DeWalt Heavy-Duty 12v Compact 3/8" Adjustable Clut... |
I purchased my Dewalt DW935 12V cordless drill because it was recommended to make my job as a construction electrician easier. I found it to be so useful, my spouse bought one! The drill has a good center of gravity which makes it less trouble to hold at odd angles. The clutching mechanism is very good in its diverse settings so one can really crank down on the big jobs, but apply less torque when applying wire nuts. Yes, there is an adapter available to apply wire nuts, although DeWalt does not make it. However, I have used the drill all day, with only having to change battery packs once at lunch. Chargers are available in the standard 1-hour model, which comes with the drill, or the fast pack which charges in less than 20 minutes. I prefer the longer charge rate because it gives the drill a longer life at higher speeds and torques. There is some give and take for the convenience of fast charging. The drill is light-weight, and fits nicely in a leather holster, of which there are several types to suit the needs of the user. Generic is just as good as name brand for all the frugal people such as myself. I would recommend the tool to anyone who wants to make his/her life easier when the need for a drill is there. The drill comes in a tidy organized carrying case with the charger and extra battery, to minimize down time. A full range of accessories complement the drill to fit any and all uses.
