| mom2emma's Full Review: Earths Best Baby Cereals |
In our house it is all or nothing. My first daughter loved all brands of baby cereal. My second daughter won't eat any of them. Since Earth's Best is more natural and their baby foods taste 10 times better I thought maybe she would like their cereal. I was hoping I could get any baby cereal into her since it is the food that contains the added iron. We even had a coupon for a free box, however, there was not a grocery store in the entire area that carried this brand of cereal. I traveled the 30 minutes to the health food store to get this brand. Well it was wasted time, she wouldn't eat it either. I must say it did actually have a real smell to it and a lot more texture. Upon my taste test though ( I know gross!) it was still very pasty.
The type we tried with my daughter was the rice. They use organic brown rice. They also have an oatmeal and barley cereals. As far as I have seen online and at the health food store they do not offer combination cereals or fruit added cereals. Earth's Best also makes jarred baby foods. They may start carrying more selection of cereals as I have noticed their selection growing. They have added first baby foods which are single ingredient and smaller jars. They have also added teething biscuits to their line.
Basically what I would say is it may be better than other baby cereals but still doesn't have a very good taste to it. But since babies have different, less mature taste buds not accustomed to additives and sweeteners they may like it. My daughter will not eat any baby cereals so because she won't eat this brand doesn't mean it is bad.
