EasyJet is cheap. In every sense of the word.

Pros: Cheap airfares, good online booking system.
Cons: Staff is deffinetely NOT friendly. Seriously. Not a relaxing travel experience
The Bottom Line: If you want plain CHEAP- go for it. but if you want a decent flying experience, try HLX or something. Not EasyJet;

I flew EasyJet in late May 2006 twice, once from Berlin to Madrid, and then from Madrid to London-Luton.
The check-in at Berlin was horribly inefficient. Fairly friendly staff, although professionalism was totally lacking. They require you to check-in at a kiosk first THEN qeue into a line to deal with the agent. They had just implemented this procedure about a month before, but they only had ONE young lady trying to guide people to the e-kiosks first before they stood in line!! So tons of people would wait in line for 10 minutes and then be showed back to the kiosks!
The Security check-point in Berlin is highly ineficient for dealing with just 3 737/A320 loads of people.
So... afterwards you're shuttled down a long path to a little room. Standing capacity is maybe 100, but there's only about 40 seats for the 100 pax plane, and of course our flight was full. So we sat on the floor. EasyJet uses a type of "zone" boarding but in Berlin, it was just a one-for-all!! Rediculous. The only ground staff person that was nice was the lady who took our ticket before entring the 'waiting room'.
the flight was uneventful and the staff wasnt very friendly but also they werent mean. Of course everything was for sale, nothing free.
Arrival in Madrid was uneventful and normal.
Departing from Madrid was horrible. But that's mostly because the people in Madrid seemed ticked off that they were still working in the old terminal and not moving to the brand new one or something. There was only two check in counters.
The flight gate was at one of the far-ends of the airport, which meant a lot of walking. I mean, A LOT. But then our flight was delayed almost 1 1/2 hours and never was there an annoucement. In fact, the screen just changed the departure time- never did it say "delayed".
The flight from Madrid to London was worse. Not a friendly face or smile the entire trip from the staff. Seriously people, if you are standing at the front door, please SMILE!!
Arrival in London-Luton was typical for a cheap airline. Stale enviroment, makes you feel like you've arrived in a warehouse. I seriosuly think Hahn or Baden-Baden is better than London-Luton!
