| therica's Full Review: Eureka Enviro Steamer 370 Upright Vacuum |
I always wanted to get an enviro steamer for our 1300 square feet of industrial floor since mopping it was a real pain. Then I found the Eureka Upright Steamer at Costco for just $119,- (+tax..) and I was stoked. This one does the job of the regular enviro steamer AND the hot shot in one machine.
It came with a nice little accessories bag with lots of attachments: Floor cloth, floor brush, accessory connector, two extension wands, brass round brush, plastic round brush, angle nozzle, cloth for fabric brush, window squeegee, fabric brush, straight nozzle, measuring cup, liquid dispenser and funnel.
I was ready to clean anything in the house that would withstand the hot steam.
First, of course, the floors: Amazing! It is so easy and it really works. I just fill the water in the tank, wait till the machine is ready, put on the "magic cloth" which wraps around the head of the floor attachment that is held in place by two clips on either side of it, and start steaming. The steam didn't wet the floors like when I mop it therefore it dries super quickly. When I was done I made the test and wiped over the already dry part with my fingers. The floor was CLEAN. What bothers me a little bit is that the cloth tends to slip off at the front while I am using it and I have to put it back over the edge every couple of swipes.
I still had lots of water left in the tank so I went for the calcium deposits on the tiles in the shower (ruff stone tiles). I changed the attachments which is very easy to do and there I had my hot shot steamer pistol. Unfortunately I wasn't as successful on that one. I tried it on the window in the shower and it cleaned away the deposits as if it was nothing. So maybe it isn't that perfect for very ruff surfaces.
Then I went to the toilet and steamed all those little corners that I usually can't reach that good with a cloth and made it clean and - best of all - disinfected. Very nice. I still had to wipe after it though to clean away the water and the dirt that was "steamed up".
One thing I really like about the Steamer is that it has an on/off button right on the handle where you can control the steam flow. When you are doing something like floors you can lock the button in the ON position and don't have to hold it all the time. For on-the-spot cleaning you can just "shoot" every time you need to.
Since I have the Enviro Upright Steamer I ENJOY cleaning!
I would definitely recommend this dream machine.
