I just recently purchased this vacuum and it is wonderful. When we started looking around, I knew I wanted one with decent power and a hepa filter. Well, I got both with this vacuum.
It's a Eureka SmartVac. One of the features I really find useful is the dirt sensor. As you vacuum over your rug, a little red light comes on and stays on until that area of the rug is clean. I'm embarrassed to say that it took me 30 minutes of vacuuming my living room before that little light went out. I knew the vacuum we were using wasn't doing much, but I never dreamed just how bad it was. Especially since I had just vacuumed the day before that.
It also has a headlight and the base is very wide. It has onboard attachments that are very conveniently placed right where you need them. It has seven floor settings ad handles very well. It is extremely easy to push and maneuver. The motor is 12.0 amps and seems pretty powerful.
It comes with a hepa filter on it. It does use bags but I checked out the price and they are fairly inexpensive so there isn't a big expense there. I think it was $1.39 for 3 so that is very reasonable to me.
The price of the vacuum itself was very good too. I feel that it was well worth the money we paid for it.
