Don't forget the video feature! (Reply to this comment)

Overall, a very nice and accurate portrayal of the F10's virtues and minimal drawbacks.
I would like to add 4 points:
1) The video mode was an unexpected bonus for me. It'll shoot at 640 x 480, up to 30fps. This amazed me for such a small camera. One drawback: you can't zoom in/out when using the video feature; you have to preset the zoom. For short clips (under 1 minute), it's super, especially since the pocket-to-shoot time is so quick (very responsive camera).
2) Some point-and-shooters have had some problems with image quality in full "Auto" mode. This means selecting Auto on the switch at the top, as well as for Auto in the ISO selection menu. Apparently the camera sometimes selects strange ISO/aperture/shutter speed combos. If you keep the main shutter speed switch in Auto, but manually select the ISO setting (80-1600), this may solve your problem.
3)Menuing...maybe I'm nuts, but it took me almost no time at all to learn and be completely comfortable with the menuing system on this camera. I didn't even have to consult the manual.
4) I have yet to find a consumer oriented camera, especially a P&S model, that comes off the shelf with a decent memory card. These 16 or 32MB cards that are normally included by many manufacturers are an absolute insult. Go buy a 1GB card w/USB card reader ($100 combined) and you'll have all the storage capacity you'll ever need, plus an instant 1GB jump drive! Plus, you won't have to fiddle with the F10 wires and adapter.

Right on! (Reply to this comment)

Once again dkozin has written another digital camera review that is very useful in telling buyers about the product. In this case it is the Fuji Finepix F10. I own one and can attest that this review is very accurate.
The only thing that I can add is that in bright sunlight I do find the LCD somewhat difficult to see.
Also, although the F10 is small, it is not a shirt pocket camera. It does fit in my pants pocket tho. But, I did end up purchasing a 97 cent WalMart velcro carry pouch that goes on my belt which works great.
