Good looks but many product issues

I've owned this stove for 2 months. I also purchased the matching Microwave. There are a few serious issues in the design of the stove. I could not find a review on this product when I was doing research on Stoves but was told it was basically the GE Profile with a slicker exterior. Here are the issues:

1)As you turn the knobs controlling the burners, the flame doesn't respond accordingly. The numbers controlling the flame range between 10 - 1 (10 being the highest). At the lower #'s, the flame doesn't change (between approx 6-4). On one burner the flame actually gets bigger as you turn down the knob.
2) The flame is too high on the front two burners and too low on the back two and center burners. I know the back burners are simmer burners but due to problem #3 below, the design of this stove makes them almost unusable.
3) Poorly designed Grates. They look great but sit almost a full 1" above the burner. This makes the back two burners almost useless.
4) The grates are actually rusting (this recently started)
5) The center oval burner has such a low flame (at the highest setting) it appears useless. I never put the griddle on the stove so I can't actually say it wouldn't work. When you are not using the griddle, there is a matching center grate (included) that makes the entire surface of the stove usable for moving things around.
6)When you use the right front burner even with a very big pot, it heats up the metal microwave handle (installed above this burner) making it extremely hot. After the second day of owning this stove we stopped using the right front burner due to this problem.

I called GE directly the day after we had this stove professionally installed. They had a repairman at my home the following day (really good service experience). The repairman calibrated 3 of the 5 burner controls. It made the front two and back right burner better but the controls still don't work properly (same issues described above).

I've been in touch with GE a few times explaining these issues. They said they'd include my comments in a product enhancement request.... Thanks....

Net Net:

I recommend you don't buy this appliance until and only IF GE fixes these issues. This appliance looks great but has serious design flaws.

The microwave is great. It works well and is easy to use.
