Finally, a diaper rash lotion that works! I started using the Gerber Diaper Rash Lotion on my baby's bottom when she was about two months old. I tried many others and nothing else kept her bottom soft and rash free. When I stopped using the Gerber Diaper Rash Lotion for a short time, you guessed it, she developed a rash. Now I make sure to slather it on her each diaper change!
Cost
I paid $2.99 at a local discount store for a 4 FL OZ tube. The wonderful thing about Gerber is that they are constantly sending out coupons for their products so it's easy to get anywhere from $.25 to $.50 cents off of the stuff. You can join http://www.gerber.com and when you join, they will send you $50.00 in coupons for their products.
Ingredients
The lotion contains Dimethicone and other ingredients such as Aluminum/Magnesium Hydroxide Stearate, Cetyl Dimethicone, Copolyol, Cyclomethicone, Hexyl Laurate, Imidurea, Polyglyceryl-4-lsostearate, Purified Water and Sodium Chloride.
Quality
As with other Gerber products, this lotion is excellent. Gerber boasts that this diaper rash lotion glides on clear and it does! It is easy to apply and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue behind. It's not thick and goopy like most diaper rash lotions so it doesn't take forever to rub in. There really isn't a smell to it, so it doesn't smell like medicine like most diaper rash lotions do.
Best of all, it does its job well, it prevents diaper rash like a diaper rash lotion should!
Overall Opinion
I would have to highly recommend the Gerber Diaper Rash Lotion for everyday use. Before I used this stuff I actually dreaded trying to rub in a diaper rash lotion each diaper change. They wouldn't absorb into my daughter's skin, took forever to rub in all the way and would leave my hands feeling greasy. With this diaper rash lotion, preventing diaper rash is a snap.
