I have purchased 2 cars with the Eagle LS tires already on them. They are horrible. In dry weather, they handle fine. I cringed at the thought of wet weather on these tires. I also drive fairly hard and in mountainous terrain. My driving is a mix of interstate and mountain, probably pretty close to 50/50. High speed and mountainous driving does not equal good tread life for these tires. I wouldn't recommend anything Goodyear, but I would avoid these tires at all costs. I highly recommend BFGoodrich as a manufacturer over Goodyear. I find that even Mastercraft offers better performance and a lower price than most of the Goodyear tires.

Thanks! Tire performance is a subjective matter, but I strongly feel that the Goodyear Eagle LS is a bad value since they don't last long (at least in the size I have - 195/65HR15.

I know nothing about tires, but you did a good job of explaining this tire to me. I don't see how someone can write about a tire, but good job nontheless.
