| yakkowarner's Full Review: Goofy's Bounce House - Disneyland |
This is a large bounce house that not only has an air filled floor but also has air filled furniture. If you look around the walls you will also notice air filled trophies and an air filled fireplace. It looks like a Toons house. The outside is also well themed and adds to the illusion of Toonieness that is found throughout this area of Disneyland.
How it works.
You must be at least 3 years of age to participate and cannot be over 52 inches tall. So that eliminates most of us. You go through a long and curvey queue line that never has a line of people. The queue line is neat to me because it has a lot of vegetables, cool garden related ornaments, and it has the feel of a garden.
Once you get to the end of the queue line, you wait until a worker shuffles last group of kids out the exit and then has the new group of kids come to a waiting area. No adults allowed. Kids take off there shoes and usually hand them to parents (but there is a rack.) Then they are given some rules and escorted into the house by the Disney worker. As a parent you can observe what is going on through a couple of small windows but not allowed in. You will not see everything but you can see most of what is going on. For the most part it is pretty safe, I have never seen anyone get hurt (but there is a rumor of the inflated chandelier falling on a girl that was severed by the phantom of the goofy bounce house.)
The kids are allowed to bounce for approximately 3 minutes. They are then escorted out the steps they came down on and ushered out a different door then the one they came in. There I meet my son and have him put on his shoes.
Location
It is located in Toontown at Disneyland, Anaheim California.
Capacity.
I am guessing it is around 10-12 kids.
When did it open?
1993.
My opinion.
I have never been in it so I would not know how exciting it is, but the kids love it. My son enjoys this attraction. But there really is not much to it. It is the same experience you will get in the normal bounce houses that you can rent and buy, except this one has furniture and cool mounted decorations.
Who is this for?
Families with kids.
Does it close early?
Toontown sometimes opens late and closes early. The one time Toontown opened exactly an hour after the park. I do not know if this happens everyday but just consider yourself warned.
Summary
This is a simple attraction in Toontown. But for a bounce house it is not simple. It has the inflated floor of course, but in addition all the walls, furniture, and wall decorations are also inflated. The main issue I have is that adults cannot participate but I doubt my son minds me not stepping on his fun. In summary it is a fun little attraction for kids of short stature, but not the most exciting thing to do in Toontown, especially for adults.
