So you're interested in Grand Theft Auto 2 Vice City but would like to inquire more about it? It's a smart thing to do considering the price of the most popular Playstation 2 Games start at nearly $50 a pop!
To be completely honest I wouldn't say there were too many changes from Grand Theft Auto 1 to 2. The only major difference is the setting and plot. If you recall, Grand Theft Auto 1 was set primarily in downtown city streets with little countryside on its outskirts. Vice City seems to reveal a happier setting which takes place in the 80's with cities, ritzy hotels and beautiful beaches. However, the creators, (Rockstar Video) didn't forget to add those slummy areas filled with crime for a dramatic effect. The soundtrack on GTA 2 Vice City is also a big hit. I actually purchased the Emotions Station CD myself, a good selection of 80's easy listening favorites.
The gameplay is very versatile. It allows you to wander wherever you may choose, do small missions and enter contests for money, or be involved in the game plot and the actual lives of the mob like characters. These various choices allow for many hours of gameplay enjoyment. And if you ever get stuck on a mission or want to do things out of the ordinary like drive cars that fly or float on water, be sure to check for the listing of Vice City cheats online. That's hours of fun all in itself.
I myself would not recommend Vice City to any immature gamers. The offensive language and sexual/drug content are all very strong. This may seem uneccessary, but in attempt to portray the lives of Vice City mobsters and city life Rock Star games found that the plot would not be complete without it, and rightfully so.
So, if you're tired of the same old games and want something more exciting come to Vice City, join a mob, stir up some trouble, do some hits, and steal some sports cars-you'll have a great time!
