| ccn158's Full Review: Grolsch Premium Lager Holland 16oz |
People may claim that you can't distinguish between one lager and another, but with Grolsch you definately can. It's a very distinctive taste, and I'm afraid to say it's not a very nice one.
I think at least half the pubs I've been to have Grolsch on tap, and I'm not sure why, as I'm convinced that they are just there for display. Just to test that fact, the other day I had a pint, and that's why I'm writing this review.
The beer actually looks quite good: it's of a nice colour, a bit lighter than the average lager. But looks can be deceptive. It tastes rather bland and the aftertaste leaves a lot to be desired. You may think I'm mad going on about aftertastes, but they mean a lot to me: the aftertaste of something like a Kronenbourg is sublime.
So would I recommend it: no. If you're a lager drinker, theres about 10 better lagers than this, so avoid it like the plague.
