bmboy888's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Scanjet 3300c Flatbed Scanner
I bought this scanner about a month ago and paid $149 CND. The reason for the purchase was to be able to put graphics and pictures on web sites which I was designing. Although this scanner isn't the fastest or the highest resolution it serves its purpose very well.
Installation was extremely easy and the software which comes with the scanner is very intuituive. Simply put your document or picture on the scanner, press the button and everything starts up automatically.
Another reason why I chose this scanner over others of the same level like UMAX, etc.. was because of the reputation HP has built up over the years for its quality products.
I also thought about the 4 series scanner also by HP (I think it was the 4400), but it cost $50 more and all you get is an extra button on the exterior of the scanner for one-touch email. I don't really use my scanner to send email and even if I did then I could just scan the document into my computer and then send it that way. I just don't think that $50 for one-touch email is worth it.
So if you simply need a scanner for regular jobs and you are not really into fast scanning speeds then this is the one for you.
