This is an awesome game! What you do is select letters to form various words. When you get a "legal" word then it's your opponent's turn. You go through this until all the time on your clocks run out. Then whoever has the highest score wins.
Now this is just Classic Boggle. There are four other games on this CD ROM. You have Breakaway Boggle the same way you play classic boggle however now it's in the form of a 4X4X4 cube. You can rotate the cube as needed to make better words. Then you have Battle Boggle. This is the game where you and your opponent battle each other against the clock. You have to choose a letter from your cube list and place it in the battle grid. The person who spells the most words wins. This is kind of the opposite of Classic Boggle. Instead of finding the words you make the words into the grid. The fourth game is called Space Boggle. The object of this game is to grab letters as they fly past you to make words. Once the letter is used it will explode and the rest of the letters are left. Last, but not least, there is In Your Face Boggle. You have a grid of letters that is 10 letters deep in a well. You have to create words to reduce the number of letters in the grid. After 30 seconds go by another level will appear pushing the letters up higher. The game ends when the letters reach the top of the "well" This one reminds me of the game Tetris.
I have spent more time then I care to remember playing this game! It is so much fun and very challenging. You can play against someone else or a bunch of computers (four I believe). You can set these computer "people" at various levels. I have yet to beat the "master" but all other levels I either blow away or come in very close to matching them score for score.
I think this is a great game for children learning to read. It helps them pick out words, and at the same time makes it fun. I know even when I lose I thoroughly enjoy this game. I find myself kicking myself when I see words that I missed! I go HOW ON EARTH could I have missed them! I think everyone can find something they like about this game!
