malaclypse's Full Review: You Don't Know Jack Vol. 4 - The Ride for Windows,...
After playing previous You Don't Know Jack titles, I knew I had to get The Ride when I saw it. The game play is very similar to the previous games, with the same irreverent humor that is the game's hallmark. The premise of this game is riding down an elevator, stopping at different floors to play rounds. At the beginning of each round, you are presented with a question, and the floor you end up on depends on your answer.
The Good
The jokes are funny. Off color, adult oriented, but still funny. This isn't a game for kids.
Cookie, the main announcer, does a great job.
The questions are great, alternating between things everyone should know to things most people have never heard of.
The special questions, like Road Kill and Gibberish Questions, make things more interesting.
If you make it all the way to the bottom, you get treated to a funny little video clip.
Screwing your opponent be making them answer a question they don't know the answer to is a lot of fun.
The Bad
It's almost impossible to enjoy replaying the game. If you finish the game and start over, you get the same questions you had the first time through.
My favorite announcer, Buzz, has only a small bit part in this game.
Some questions are way too hard, some are way too easy.
